SPARC BC is excited to announce a new cross-Canada, multi-year study examining the risks, resiliencies and support opportunities relating to vulnerable consumers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, current and ongoing economic inflation, and potential future financial strains.

It is anticipated that this cross-Canada consumer-centred study examining vulnerability will provide a more nuanced understanding of consumer needs, adaptation, and key factors relating to access to essential commodities (e.g., food, shelter, medicines, etc.) and services (e.g., government and social services, health services, transportation, childcare, etc.), and other fundamental and persistent market issues.

SPARC BC is grateful to the Government of Canada and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s Contributions Program for Non-profit Consumer and Voluntary Organizations for their financial support and interest in this important and timely social issue.
