Community Data Program

Through SPARC BC’s leadership in the Community Data Program, we are able to access key social, demographic and economic information about communities and people, including customized tables from across a wide range of data sources. This information is used to monitor and report on social development needs and priorities across communities.

Our goal is to work with local government partners, community-based agencies and local service providers to support evidence-based research designed to better understand existing and emerging needs, and to work together to advance solutions to local issues and social development needs in a way that can lead to lasting and positive change.

SPARC BC’s work in community development education and outreach includes employing initiatives like the Community Data Program to engage key stakeholders and local partners in working on issues important to them.
