Every year, SPARC BC endeavors to develop new resources and reach out to communities to help advance mutual interests in accessibility and inclusion. Because of the generous support of donors, the revenues from our two social enterprises (parking permit program and research & consulting services), and some forms of grants, we are able to tackle projects that involve community-based research, result in knowledge transfer, and make an impact on a wide variety of issues.

The Community Accessibility Bylaws Guide

This guide is intended as a first step to creating accessibility bylaws for municipalities in BC. Developed with the guidance and input from a diverse advisory committee of representatives from across BC, this guide and accompanying resource kit is also a very good resource for learning more about accessible design, social inclusion, and what it really means to have community-wide accessibility.
