Here are some of the ways to celebrate Access Awareness Day
Highlight success stories
Has your community put policies or actions in place that have made it more accessible? Do you have a story to share that may help to inspire others?
Recognize someone in your community
Is there someone in your community - an individual, business or organization that deserves recognition for going above and beyond in their efforts to build increased awareness and understanding about the needs of people with disabilities? Use the email link at the bottom of the page to let us know so that we can recognize their efforts!
Help put your community on our map
Is your community or municipal council planning an event or activity to celebrate Access Awareness Day? Let us know more about the event that is being planned and we will put your community on our map so that we can all celebrate together!
Become a member of our BC CAN Network
Our BC Community Accessibility Network (BC CAN) was established to share stories and ideas as well as weekly tips on accessibility. Our members who are from across British Columbia are committed to accessibility and inclusion. Use the form on the Accessibility page to join now and become part of our network.

Measuring Up @ SPARC BC
In 2010, SPARC BC assumed responsibility for managing the outreach and support for the accessibility-related resources and materials established under the 2010 Legacies Now Measuring Up program. These resources are available on the Measuring Up @ SPARC BC page.
